Knuckle boom crane is a reliable and efficient crane for general and accurate offshore load handling onboard ships, offshore units and platforms. The working radius is a function of the luffing and knuckle boom positions. The knuckle boom solution reduces the wire pendulum and risk of damage caused by swinging loads. The stowing dimension for a knuckle boom crane is also far more compact than a normal luffing jib crane with same outreach.
The crane has in its standard version a built in electro-hydraulic power unit and a well equipped maneuvering cabin in front of the crane king, with operator access through pedestal and rotating king. The crane is delivered as a complete, fully painted, fully tested unit, adjusted and ready for installation onboard vessel by welding to substructure and connection of supply to electric motor located inside crane pedestal.
The crane is designed to meet international rules and regulations and may be delivered with most class approvals.
